Addition of family-owned business strengthens Italian operations

MILAN (March 30, 2021) – Berlin Packaging, the world’s largest hybrid packaging supplier, announced today the acquisition of Glass Line, a Savona, Italy based supplier of glass and metal packaging specializing in the food and beverage end-markets.

As a family-run business, Glass Line has forged strong customer relationships and has significant expertise in the wine and olive oil markets. The company is co-led by Umberto Berruti and Patrizia Zoppi and has an established presence across Northwest Italy, including two warehouses in Liguria.

 The acquisition strengthens the glass packaging offer throughout Northern Europe

MILAN, 8 October 2020 – Berlin Packaging, leader in the supply of glass, plastic and metal containers and closures, acquired on 6^th October Vinkova B.V., important supplier of food products and drink glass packaging solutions, based in Bussum, the Netherlands. 

With more than 50 years of experience, Vinkova offers a huge range of tailored solutions and products to a large customer base on the Dutch market, boasting solid industry know-how and strong relations with some of Europe’s most important glass producers.

The strategic joining of Vinkova is, for Berlin Packaging, the completion of the range offered on the Dutch market, supplementing the innovative plastic and metal solutions and innovative closures already marketed on the territory since 2019.

Global packaging juggernaut expands Southern European footprint with increased presence in Spain and Portugal

MILAN, ITALY (3 October 2019) – Berlin Packaging, the largest full-service supplier of glass, plastic, and metal containers and closures, announced today the acquisition of Vidrimon, a premier supplier of olive oil bottles and innovative glass packaging for Southern Europe. Strategically located in Montilla, Spain, the heart of Andalusia region, Vidrimon has experienced years of sustained organic growth.
Berlin Packaging is a $2.6 billion global supplier of rigid packaging products and services to customers of all types across all sectors. Vidrimon marks Berlin’s 12th overall acquisition since 2010 and fourth in Europe in 2019, adding strategic locations in France, Italy, the Netherlands, and now Spain.
